The mission of the Citywide Prayer Movement is to connect and serve pastors and leaders within the Body of Christ to seek the heart of God together in friendship, prayer, and mission.
The mission of the Citywide Prayer Movement is accomplished by helping pastors and leaders connect in friendship, unite in prayer, and partner in mission. They accomplish this by gathering in smaller geographic regions to pray and serve together in our communities. There are 12 of these smaller community groups called Village Fires across the Kansas City metro area. The Kansas City Village Fires form a compassion-based partnering network.
Citywide Prayer organizes prayer gatherings for the National Day of Prayer at various locations across the KC Metro area. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend all of these gatherings. They also sponsors prayer retreats and initiatives and are the coordinators of the National Day of Prayer gatherings in Kansas City.
